Wharton School -- Management Department
I am an Assistant Professor in the Management Department at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania who studies how digital technologies affect competition. My research addresses two key questions: How does the emergence of digital technologies alter the basis of competitive advantage? And when and why do firms respond differently to the same technological change? My focus is on the strategic actors (i.e., firms and workers) whose activities and business models are altered by technological change (e.g., restaurants using delivery platforms, artists on Spotify, startups adopting AI technologies), rather than the innovators developing the technologies.Â
I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2015, with a major in Economics and a minor in Public Policy, and I graduated with my PhD in Management & Organizations from the Stern School of Business at NYU in 2023. Prior to entering the Ph.D. program at NYU, I worked as a consultant with Cornerstone Research in Boston. I welcome opportunities to connect with researchers and practitioners about my work -- please reach out to me if interested!
